Wednesday, September 25, Agenda Items:

— In Mathematics, students learned how to create a table of values using a given equation. We developed equations having to do with the stacking of foam cups and recycle bins.  Students also learned how to graph their results.

— In History, students learned that Ontario (Canada West) and Quebec (Canada East) were the first two provinces in Canada. Students also worked on an assignment regarding Canada’s first prime minister, John Alexander Macdonald.

— In Language, students worked on an assignment regarding child labour.

— For homework, students should be working on their independent novel study. Refer to previous blog entries for specifics regarding the project.

Note: As a member of the Middle Years Collaborative Inquiry Project for Mathematics, I will be at a workshop all day Friday. Students will have a substitute teacher that day. Students, if you have not already done so, please visit a previous blog and complete the online math survey. Thanks.
