In History, students learned about the battle at Fort McHenry during The War of 1812. Students also learned how this battle resulted in the writing of the American national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner.
In Mathematics, students began their review of the patterning and algebra unit. Students will be writing a unit test next Friday. Parents, the best way you can help your children prepare for the test is by having them redo questions from their notebook. You can make it “new” by simply changing the values in each question.
In Literacy, students continued their study of John Steinbeck’s novella, Of Mice and Men.
For homework, watch a video on YouTube regarding the writing of The Star Spangled Banner. Discuss with your parents.
