NOTE – PA Day tomorrow. No school for students.
Students had an Essex Power Lines presentation this morning. Parents, ask your children about it.
In Art, students continued to work on their alligator.
In Mathematics, students continued to learn about the area of composite shapes. We also began our review for the unit test on Area. Students will write that test next Wednesday.
In Science, students learned about the fourth state of matter. Parents, for homework with your child, watch a video on YouTube about plasma and read/discuss an online article about the topic.
In Literacy, students worked on their novel studies.

In History, students learned about Samuel de Champlain and the building of Fort Quebec. They also learned why the King of France wasn’t too keen in populating New France at the beginning of the fur trade.
In Geography, students continued their study of transform plate boundaries. We studied, in depth, the San Andreas Fault in California.
In Physical Education, students played European handball.
In Mathematics, students learned how to calculate the area of composite shapes.
